Kyiv, July 6, 2023 – Ukraine has witnessed a remarkable surge in the export of grain and leguminous crops, reaching a staggering 276,000 tons as of July 5, 2022/2023. This remarkable figure signifies an extraordinary increase of 113,000 tons, nearly 2.5 times more compared to the same period last year. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine has officially announced these impressive export numbers on its website.
The latest data reveals that Ukraine has further reinforced its position as a prominent player in the global agricultural market. As of July 3, 2023/2024 MR, the nation had successfully exported 34,000 tons of grain and leguminous crops, demonstrating its continued prowess in this sector.
Among the exported crops, Ukrainian wheat stands out with an exceptional export volume of 65,000 tons. This amount represents a remarkable increase of 41,000 tons compared to the previous year. The surge in wheat exports showcases Ukraine’s growing capacity and its ability to meet the global demand for high-quality agricultural produce.
Additionally, Ukrainian farmers have accomplished a significant milestone by exporting 20,000 tons of barley for the first time since the beginning of the new marketing year. This achievement highlights the diverse range of Ukrainian agricultural products making their mark in international markets.
Moreover, the export of Ukrainian corn has experienced substantial growth, reaching a noteworthy volume of 191,000 tons. This figure surpasses the previous year’s quantity by an impressive 63,000 tons. The increase in corn exports signifies the sustained momentum of Ukraine’s agricultural sector and its ability to meet the rising global demand.
